NEW to GCISD Student Registration 2023-24 School Year
Registration Opens Monday, April 6th for New Students to GCISD
New to GCISD Student Registration Link

Students entering GCISD need to complete the enrollment forms (link above) in Skyward and must be done prior to a student starting school. To complete the enrollment process families upload the required documents directly into Skyward. Below is the list of documents you will need to complete registration.
Please upload the following documents into Skyward:

Parent:

• Proof of Residency: (one of the following) Lease, Mortgage, or TAD statement

• Current Utility bill: (one of the following) Gas/Electric/Water - Physical address – post office boxes and cable bills are not accepted
• Parent/Guardian’s Government issued photo identification

Student:

• Vaccination Records – Please verify requirements. Incomplete shot records could hold up the student’s attendance. For incoming 7th graders, please read requirement below:

The State of Texas requires documentation for Tdap and Meningococcal vaccinations for 7th grade. These two vaccines are often given at the 11 year old check up by your primary care doctor.  If you have an 11 or 12 year old child who has already seen the physician this school year for their annual exam, please contact your physician's office for an updated copy of your child's vaccination records.

Texas Minimum Vaccine Requirements

• Copy of Birth Certificate
• Copy of Social Security Card
• Last or most recent Report Card: The counselors need to see what classes and programs a student has taken or completed.
• Special Programs documentation showing the student is/was in AP, a 504 program,
• Dual Language Arts, ESL, etc.
• Any Critical Information (Legal or health needs: food allergies, EpiPen, custody, etc.)
• Withdrawal Form/Most recent grades from previous school

* NOTE: Returning 7th grade students:

GCISD Student Transfers

The general student transfer application window for the 2023-24 school year is currently CLOSED
Next Transfer Window
July 10th thru July 14th
Transfer Application & FAQ's Link  

All students (including employee students) must apply for a transfer if they desire to attend a campus other than their zoned campus and/or when a current transfer student is moving up to the next transition level

• Pre-K to Kindergarten
  Elementary school to middle school
  Middle school to high school
•  

Students who are already on an approved transfer and are
not moving up to the next transition level DO NOT need to submit a transfer request. For more information and to complete an online application click on Transfer Application & FAQ's Link above.

Once you have been approved for a transfer, please email your approved transfer email to [email protected]
If a parent does not forward the Approved Transfer email, it is assumed they have made other arrangements and decline the transfer.

Moving?

If you move but are still in the GCISD attendance zone 

please email me with the new 

address and attach 2 documents to verify the change.
One of the following from each section

1: Lease, Mortgage or TAD statement

2: Current Utility Bill - Water/Gas/Electric - we can not except cable bill

*** Please note: Technology (Chromebook & Charger), and similar items are the property of the district and need to be returned in order to complete your withdrawal. All items not returned are subject to fines and fees.
