On Thursday, our Heritage Playbill students competed in the district One-Act Play festival with their show This is a Test by Stephen Gregg. We've received word that the HMS honors band has been named a National Winner and has received the Maestro Award from the Global Initiative For Talented Students for the second year in a row!! This is a huge honor for our students, and means that our honors band will now get to receive a free visit and clinic from a major college music professor from a major university later this year. My name is Adrienne McLain and I am so excited to be teaching Resource Math and doing Inclusion support at HMS this year! I went to Texas A&M where I studied Special Education, then taught for 10 years before taking time away with my family. I have been a parent and active PTA volunteer at Heritage Elementary for the last six years. In addition to volunteering, I was also a substitute teacher and did two long-term sub positions there.
I am married and have two daughters who are GCISD students. Our family loves going to the lake, hiking and exploring new places together. I also love watching college football (Gig 'em!) and baking with my girls around the holidays!
I'm very much looking forward to joining the outstanding team at HMS!

Hello all! My name is Rachel Naranjo, and I am the new English Acquisition and Reading Intervention Teacher at Heritage Middle School. I was born and raised in Coppell, Texas, where I met my wonderful husband. I graduated from Texas Christian University with my bachelor’s in 2020 and my master’s in 2022. After graduating with my bachelor’s, I served as a College Advisor for TCU’s College Advising Corps for two years, discovering my passion for teaching. I then became a 6th-grade English Language Arts teacher in Fort Worth ISD for three years. This will be my fourth year as a teacher, and I’m excited to be part of the Bronco family! I have an amazing daughter named Rosie who will be one in September. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, gaming, and spending time with my family. I look forward to getting to know you!
