On Friday, October 24, 2025, our 8th graders had an exciting opportunity to explore their futures during a visit to the GCISD Technology Education and Career Center (TECC)! Students rotated through 14 hands-on sessions, discovering how classroom learning connects to real-world careers. Each rotation offered a glimpse into a possible path for high school and beyond — and our students were fully engaged and inspired!

Throughout the day, students experienced:

  • Computer Science – Learning how coding powers the digital world.

  • Robotics, Coding & Drones – Building, programming, and flying innovative technology.

  • Principles of Human Services – Exploring personal care, design, and people-centered careers.

  • Graphic Design – Turning creativity into digital art and visual storytelling.

  • Culinary Arts – Cooking up skills for success in the kitchen.

  • Video Game Design – Designing and developing the next big hit in gaming.

  • Health Science – Discovering how science and compassion work together in healthcare.

  • Law – Learning about justice, rights, and the legal process.

  • AV Tech, Yearbook, Theatre & Broadcast Journalism – Telling stories through performance, media, and technology.

  • Business, Marketing & Finance – Exploring entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

  • Agriculture: Animal Science & Floral Design – Connecting science, creativity, and nature.

  • Welding: Ag Mechanics – Gaining hands-on experience in fabrication and mechanics.
